"My art is a reflection of places and situations: real and imagined. Results are not always literal, but sometimes an illusion. Colors blur and blend, line disappears and re-appears. Each work examines emotion, whether it be longing or gratitude. I strive to tell my story in a way that can be universally translated. Materials used change from work to work. Some pieces require extra texture, some demand smooth flowing edges. I find the different use of materials keep my creative energy peaked. This idea of different materials frequently carries over to the final presentation. Conventional frames are not always used. Instead, use of free-floating pieces, metal, wire, and other materials prevent the work from becoming stagnant.”
