Julie Frothingham grew up in Minnesota and received her Bachelor's Degree in education as well as studying fine art from the Minnesota River School of Fine Art. Initially trained classical realism, Julie inevitably grew into her own style after her admiration for impressionist painting started to inform her own painting techniques and interest in abstraction. Julie Frothingham works in a variety of mediums, such as graphite, watercolor, acrylic, and oil. She covers a wide selection of subject matter from figurative to landscapes to abstract paintings. Julie participates in various shows across the country and appears in prominent collections across the world.
